Disney Cruises

disney-cruise-image-31Disney Cruises have all the fun a Disney Park, on a boat. They even have their own Private Island, Castaway Cay! Their Caribbean and Bahama cruises are 3-7 days long. There are 3 ships, Wonder (W), Magic (M), and Dream (D). Want to visit a Disney Park, but still have a cruise? No problem. With Disney’s Land and Seas packages, you can either start your getaway with 4 days on land, then 3 days on sea, or 3 days on land, then 4 days at sea! Talk about a great deal!

Disney Cruise Line is actually not what you’d expect from Disney- it’s MORE. First off, there’s the dining. There are 3 main restaurants on board. For each night, you’ll rotate through them. The best part is that you’re servers and table mates will also rotate with you. This is especially nice if you have allergies, as you will only need to explain them once. Soda is complementary, along with coffee, fruit juice, and tea. Each Disney boat (Dream, Wonder, Magic) has 3 main restaurants.

Animators Plate (W,M, D): A show showing Disney animations and story-telling, where you can see the characters come to life right before your eyes! Sketches around the restaurant slowly go from black and white to color.

Royal Palace (D), Triton (W), Lumieres (M): Each themed after a different movie (Princess, Mermaid, and Beauty and the Beast)

Parrot Cay (W, M) & Enchanted Garden (D): Caribbean-flavored food in a fun, tropical setting. The food is noted to be slightly under the other restaurants. Usually the most popular of the 3.

For kids, there’s Youth clubs as on other lines, with character meet & greets, children’s pools, live shows, and movies. For teens (Dream, 14-17: Vibe; Wonder, 13-17: Aloft; and Magic, 14-17 The Stack) there’s a coffee-like hang-out, where no adults (except counselors) are allowed.

Disney also has its own private island called Castaway Cay.There’s free child care at this port, as well as a free BBQ! Disney Cruise Line is guaranteed fun for the whole family
